On the one hand, the on-road route allows the driver to try the hybrid features (energy recovery & electric drive at low speed) and the tech features such as L2 assisted driving. <br/><br/>The new Avenger e-Hybrid has been designed to be the first entry point into electrification. It employs a powertrain based on a lightweight 48V Hybrid system capable of delivering a nearly complete hybrid experience. A 100hp internal combustion engine coupled with a 21kw electric motor is then integrated into a double-clutch 6-speed automatic transmission and a 48V Belt Starter for a smooth transition to the electric drive that also produces further CO2 savings. The 0.9 kWh lithium-ion battery is located under the driver's seat, with no impact on the interior space, which remains the same as that of the Avenger petrol.<br/>The entire 48V hybrid system weighs only 60 kg more than a conventional automatic transmission. This keeps the total weight of the new Avenger e-Hybrid to just 1280 kg.

They are integrated into the ladder frame and develop a maximum total output of 432 kW and a maximum torque of 1,164 Nm.<br/>The all-new electric G-Class generates virtual differential locks via torque vectoring.<br/>The innovative drive concept of the all-new electric G-Class enables unique driving functions for off-road use: G-TURN, G-STEERING and the intelligent off-road crawl function.<br/>The G-ROAR sound experience includes a G-Class-specific driving sound, an “aura” and various “event” sounds.<br/>A slightly raised bonnet, new A-pillar trim, spoiler lip on the roof and so-called “air curtains” in the rear wheel-arch flares contribute to optimised aerodynamics and interior aeroacoustics.<br/>A redesigned off-road control unit, new OFFROAD COCKPIT and “transparent bonnet” enable a digital off-road experience.<br/>The MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) infotainment system and a 31.2-centimetre (12.3-inch) driver and media display with touch controls are included as standard.<br/>Advanced safety and assistance systems support drivers.<br/>The EDITION ONE is an exclusive special model available at launch with an expanded palette of standard features.

In terms of onboard well-being, a specific soundproofing package has been developed to create a relaxing and soundproof environment, regardless of road surface conditions and the car’s speed. A specific set of gaskets has also been developed for the doors, to improve the sound quality when they are closed, as well as a new design for the handles to convey a tangible and extensive feeling of robustness. As for production quality, investment has been made in staff training, dedicated equipment and processes, to achieve a level of competition typical of a premium brand and to guarantee the end customer the best quality currently available on the market.<br/>In addition to these interventions, attention has been paid to driving pleasure: the team has widened the wheel track by 24 mm, to ensure better weight distribution and handling for the new model. The steering system has also been calibrated for the utmost driving precision; last but not least, work has been done to obtain a specific setup for the suspension, more dynamic but never too stiff.
