I don't know what to say other than when I bought the Troubadour compilation box set this was on in the 1990s, this track really blew my mind! Only recently did I become aware of the fact that the official version of this song was re-recorded and released in 1969 on the album Barabajagal, but find that I prefer this version for its edgier psychedelic sound. It was recorded apparently when Donovan switched over from folk to psychedelic pop and recorded
