Description: At Ocean Discovery Day, school children move sand in a sandbox equipped with a Kinect 3D camera and a projector that projects a real-time color topographic map onto the sand surface. As the sand moves, the topographic map adjusts in real time. The children can create mountains, rivers, oceans and even make it rain! This project was developed by the UC Davis W.M.
